Is apparently almost over… what?
Last weekend was The Queen West Art Crawl. It was a quiet year compared to my last two years at that show but I still had fun giggling with my sister about all the cute dogs in Trinity Bellwoods Park. Also, dinner at The Lakeview on a Saturday night is never a bad thing.
Right now I’m madly knitting mushrooms for my installation in The Vault at Jill Price Studios for Art ce Soir. In case you haven’t heard, the girls of Lakeshore Mews are having an all-night art event for Culture Days 2011. All kind of fun things are set to happen in the lot and in our studios. Live bands, dance, site specific installations, interactive fun times… something for everyone all night long!
I’ve got one of my oldest friends, Matt Haskill (of Four Star Daydream fame) set to write and record an album in the gallery side of Awkward Stage. You don’t want to miss that!
Last but not least, the shop has been turned for fall. Lots of beautiful things made from repurposed kilts and vintage skirts for you to wear now that the weather is cooler. Come have your pick of the litter before the leaves fall!
