About the artist:
Kelly Stacey’s collection of old cameras were used to create this series of multiple exposures. Once the image is created on film, it is then turned into a photo transfers on wood panel. This process grants the freedom to distress the images for a nostalgic feel.
Kelly Stacey grew up in rural Ontario where she discovered her passion for photography. Her first camera was a Polaroid camera gifted to her at age 8. Later in high school, Kelly got more involved in her photography classes, constantly using her younger sister as her subject. Kelly continued her education in photography by graduating from the applied photography program at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. Shortly after graduating, she embarked on a journey to Nepal to begin her career as a documentary photographer. Her inquisitive nature is the driving force behind her quest to travel and document it.
Kelly Stacey lives and works in Cannington, Ontario.
